Art Basel Hong Kong Welcomes 130 International Galleries

Art Basel’s Hong Kong edition returns this year from May 26—29 at the Hong Kong Convention and Exhibition Center. Welcoming 130 international presenters with the help of Lead Partner UBS, fairgoers will find programming across the Galleries, Insights, and Discoveries sectors (also viewable through the Online Viewing Room), alongside a roster of events including the Film program, the Magazines sector, and the Conversations platform.

Comprising the main Galleries sector, leading names in the art world are bringing the work of modern and contemporary artists alike. In Discoveries, viewers will find presentations of emerging artists. And making up the Insights sector are curated shows highlighting artists from Asia and the Asia-Pacific region, dating from the present back to 1900. Throughout these platforms are presenting galleries like Gagosian, Karma, Fost Gallery, Massimo De Carlo, Clearing, Blindspot Gallery, Antenna Space, Pearl Lam Galleries, Marlborough, LGDR, PKM Gallery, David Zwirner, Ora-Ora, Magician Space, Ceysson & Bénétière, and 10 Chancery Lane Gallery.

Taking place at the Hong Kong Arts Center, this year’s Film sector has been curated by Li Zhenhua, the Director and Founder of Beijing Art Lab, and encompasses a program by and about artists. Those in attendance will also want to save time to see the contributions from international art publications making up the Magazines sector and the special program of Conversations, this year organized by Stephanie Bailey.
