Mitou, from chefs Kwon Young-woon and Kim Bo-mi, brings modern Japanese cuisine to the heart of South Korea. Its authentic Japanese experience features seasonal monthly menus, with dishes complemented by meticulous plating behind the scenes. The nine-course meals combine sashimi, vegetables, and rice dishes in a variation of the Japanese kaiseki course meal. After 9 p.m., Mitou serves a la carte dishes to be paired with beer and sake. The small restaurant serves nine at the sushi counter or a single group of four at a table. Mitou was awarded a Michelin star in 2021, and Kim has been recognized as one of the top female chefs in Asia by Fine Dining Lovers.
Whitewaller recommends Mitou’s signature courses, a soup dish owan or the seasonal rice dish gohan.
