13 Things Not to Miss on The Last Day of PULSE Miami Beach

Today is the last day to visit PULSE Miami Beach, located at Indian Beach Park at 4601 Collins Ave. Under the directorship of the always wonderful Helen Toomer, this year’s fair has a North and South tent, bringing together over 80 galleries from three continents. The Northern tent includes presentations from galleries with three or fewer artists, for the most part. The other features “Conversations,” where galleries brought work from two artists, meant to create a visual and conceptual dialogue, which was quite successful.

This year’s fair offered a more affordable platform in the “Points” section, with not-for profits, first-time exhibitors, and alternative spaces being represented. The Pulse Prize was awarded to Trong Gia Nguyen at mc2gallery, announced earlier in the week.

Some highlights for us included Markus Linnenbrink‘s collaboration with Nick Gelpi at Patricia Sweetow, Joaquin Trujillo and Ramona Rosales at de Soto gallery, Ryan MacFarland at Uprise Art, Zanele Muholi at Yancey Richardson, and Martin Gutierrez at Ryan Lee Gallery. Above is a slideshow of 13 works not to miss at the 2015 edition of PULSE.
