Art Basel in Miami Beach is Back!

Art Basel in Miami Beach 2019

Art Basel in Miami Beach is back in-person for the first time since 2019. The hybrid format is made up of over 250 gallery presentations at the Miami Beach Convention Center, complemented by Online Viewing Rooms, live-streamed conversations, and social media broadcasts.

Among the returning galleries in attendance, Art Basel will exhibit five first-timers that previously showed in the Nova sector, those being Patron, Galerie Crèvecœur, Galerie Jérôme Poggi, Mariane Ibrahim, and Barro. Galleries participating for the first time include First Floor Gallery Harare with spaces in Harare and Victoria Falls; Rele Gallery from Lagos and Los Angeles; and Southard Reid from London.

This year’s sectors include Positions, Survey, Kabinett, and Editions. After its debut in 2019, the Meridians sector will be back, hosting large-scale projects that challenge the format of a traditional art fair, and curated by Museo Tamayo director Magalí Arriola. Art Basel will be held from Thursday, December 2, through Saturday, December 4.
