On March 26 in Hong Kong, Art Central raises the curtain on its celebratory 10th edition, on view through March 30 at Central Harbourfront Hong Kong. A must-see event of the city’s lively art week, this year’s fair brings back the skillful curation of Enoch Cheng for rich gallery programs, a momentous Yi Tai sculpture, and sweeping Installation Projects. Meanwhile, programming curated by Aaditya Sathish unites lecture-performances, a Video Art platform, a large-scale installation by Hong Kong-based artist Nadim Abbas, and more.

During this year’s edition, fairgoers will have the opportunity to see presentations from more than 100 galleries and 500 artists hailing from Asia and beyond. The Central Galleries sector will embrace pioneering names like Avocado Art Lab (Taipei), The Gallery by SOIL (Hong Kong), Shunpudo Gallery (Tokyo), Cospace (Shanghai), Bonian Space (Beijing), Karin Weber Gallery (Hong Kong), and more.
Shunpudo Gallery showcases powerful Japanese art ranging from post-war to present-day, and highlights rare gems by Junzo Watanabe, Tomoo Gokita, and Kazumi Nakamura. In addition, Avocado Art Lab brings iconic works by perceptive, contemporary photographers Shen Chao Liang, Chou Ching Hui, Chung Mong Hong, and Lo Shen Wen. Championing both artists and creative spaces from the region as well as across the world, Art Central sparks tender and diverse dialogues between leading voices as well as burgeoning visionaries.

A bevy of new initiatives will be offered at the fair. Legend unfolds as a curator-led platform to shine light on artists born before 1970, while Duo Projects nurtures curatorial connection between creatives. Within Legend, six masterful artists of the Asia-Pacific region will be honored. Suppoment Gallery (Seoul) brings fairgoers into the soaring artistry of Lee In Seob, who is energized by the natural beauty of his studio in Eoseongjeon, Gangwon-do, and see+ Gallery (Beijing, Shenzhen) captivates with Japanese photographer and filmmaker Eikoh Hosoe‘s dreamlike explorations. Duo Projects highlights imaginative intersections by artists Eunjeong Choi and Sooyeon Bang with Gallery Luan & Co. (Seoul).
Further, the thrilling Neo category returns for its second edition with The Locker Room (established in New York, 2020), Monolog Gallery (established in Belgrade, 2022), Areté Space (established in Beijing, 2023), and many more, concentrating on innovative, undiscovered artists.

Soho House Hong Kong offers an effervescent pop-up bar for top tier refreshment, rooted in a joyful mural centerpiece by artist Elsa Jeandedieu. Guests who desire the perfect cup of coffee shall look no further than illy, and the illy Art Collection – GENESI displays vessels designed by female visionaries Simone Fattal, Shirin Neshat, Monica Bonvicini, and Binta Diaw.
Furthermore, Eat Central by Black Sheep Gallery spearheads the fair’s culinary spread with five wondrous endeavors.
