The annual ArtCrush art gala auction returns to Aspen for an in-person celerbration from August 4–6. Hosted by Sotheby’s, the auction will also be open for bidding online for the first time, with proceeds benefiting the Aspen Art Museum (AAM)’s art and education programs.

Through August 5, a curated collection of over 50 works from the auction will also be on view. Participating artists include Rita Ackerman, Mary Corse, Sanya Kantarovsky, Oscar Murillo, Vaughn Spann, and Mary Weatherford. From painting to sculpture, ceramics, weaving, photography, work on paper and design art, all works have been donated to the museum by generous artists and galleries, with lots ranging from $6,000 to over $300,000. A live auction will be held on August 6 during the AAM’s summer gala.

“In Conversation with Mary Weatherford” will also be held on August 5, celebrating the artist as the recipient of the Aspen Award for Art 2021.
