ARTNOIR’s From: Friends To: Friends: auction is live now on Artsy, benefitting people of color in the art ecosystem. Open for bidding through July 8 at 5pm EST, the online sale will help fund the newly launched ARTNOIR Jar of Love Fund (AJLF), which will provide microgrants for relief, aiding artists, curators, and cultural workers of color.
The sale features the work of nearly 30 artists, including names like Tiffany Alfonseca, Delphine Desane, Patrick Quarm, John Rivas, Bony Ramirez, Delphine Diallo, Jamaal Peterman, and Flo Ngala. Patrons can expect to find creations over a range of media like Ludovic Nkoth’s marker and watercolor Mother; Ramirez’s sculptural work, The House I Burned/The House I Built; and an oil painting by Raelis Vasquez entitled Franchesca.

ARTNOIR is a non-profit organization that celebrates creatives of color internationally and advocates for cultural equity in the arts industries by offering alternatives to the traditional arts narratives. Formed on the idea of community first, AJLF aims to support and shift the cultural power dynamics in the careers of grant recipients during an unprecedented time in the art community.
Those wishing to contribute directly to the AJLF without the purchase of an artwork can do so here, while individuals of color from the art community can apply for microgrants online.
