Each year for ArtCrush, special guests can see the works that will be auctioned off to benefit the Aspen Art Museum (AAM) during the night before at-gallery event, PreviewCrush. Last night, that stellar soirée occurred at Baldwin Gallery, where attendees mingled with artists like Liz Nielsen, Carlos Rolón (Dzine), Zoe Crosher, and Aspen Award for Art honoree Lawrence Weiner.
Throughout the two-story gallery were paintings, sculptures, photographs, and mixed media works by artists like Liza Lou, John Giorno, Maynard Monrow, Richard Phillips, Marilyn Minter, and Katie Stout, all part of tonight’s live auction at ArtCrush. Gallery owner Richard Edwards, alongside AAM National Council member (and WineCrush host) Amy Phelan and AAM CEO and Director Heidi Zuckerman, conversed with the art crowd, ensuring all were enjoying their time over refreshments.
From there, everyone moved a few blocks down to the museum for light bites and cocktails on the roof, while enjoying live music from a local three-piece band. Lucky for those in attendance, all galleries of the museum were open until midnight, as well, giving guests the chance to see “Wade Guyton Peter Fischli David Weiss” after hours.
