Brand New: Birkenstock x Staud, Jean-Paul Gaultier x Karim Benzema, and More

The New York-based handbag, jewelry, and accessory brand Susan Alexandra has just released its Jumbo I LOVE NY bag, an enlarged version of the brand’s iconic style available in pink, yellow, white, and black. This iconic homage to New York, from the glittering hustle-and-bustle of Times Square to the rushing majesty of Niagara Falls, is made to order in Manhattan.

Birkenstock has partnered with the Los Angeles-based clothing brand Staud for a limited-edition capsule collection, exclusively available at Nordstrom. This collection features two handbags and twelve ready-to-wear pieces designed by Staud, and highlighted by the timeless, free-spirited Birkenstock aesthetic. Embodied in two iconic shoe silhouettes, the Arizona and Gizeh Big Buckle sandals, the collection is available now.

The New York-based designer and architect Ramona Albert was inspired to create her “Chrysalis” jewelry collection, embodying the process of metamorphosis which is ever-changing and ongoing in nature. This collection is highlighted by the Chrysalis cuff bracelet available in 14K gold and 14K plated gold, evoking the transformative movements by which a butterfly emerges from its cocoon. 

MAX ID NY has announced the release of its newest glassware design in the its “Ghost” collection, the Ghost Champagne Flute. These flutes feature a signature twist-faceted surface, enabled through an innovative and intricate multi-piece molding technique. The Ghost Flute stands as one continuous, flowing yet crystalline body of glass, with the classic stem removed to allow a continuous and robust interaction of the glass with the user’s hand.

Lindquist has released the Faba shoulder bag in black. Wearable either across the waist or the chest, the style features a brass pull-release closure, and an interior partition and card pocket formed with the brand’s iconic curve. The Faba is modeled on what Lindquist considers to be one of the world’s most perfect foods: the bean, particularly the broad bean. Jean Paul Gaultier has partnered with the athlete Karim Benzema for a new rendition of the brand’s iconic eyewear model, the 56-6106. This new collaboration highlights the many similarities between Jean Paul Gaultier and Benzema—namely their atypical, rapid, and passionate ascension in their respective disciplines. This model, which is available in gold, silver, and black, was selected for reissue from the brand’s archives by KB9, who will become the face of the brand through a video campaign produced by Original Kids.
