COS’s collaboration with New York’s Solomon R. Guggenheim Museum was celebrated last night through the museum’s major retrospective of Canadian American minimalist painter Agnes Martin (1912–2004), which the brand sponsored. For the occasion COS hosted a dinner set within the iconic museum rotunda.
Guests from the worlds of art, design and fashion joined Karin Gustafsson, COS Creative Director and Martin Andersson, COS Head of Menswear Design, for a private view of the exhibition and an intimate solo piano performance by Californian music project Francis and the Lights.
Attendees included architect Alex Mustonen and artist Daniel Arsham of Snarkitecture, Director of Art Production Fund Casey Fremont Crowe, Cipriana Quann of Urban Bush Babes, Diane Brown, Founder and Executive Director of RxArt, Catherine Dunn, Deputy Director of The Guggenheim Museum, Isaac Hindin-Miller of Isaac Likes, Margaret Zhang of Shine By Three, Maria Cornejo, Designer, Patrick Janelle of A Guy Named Patrick, and artists Phoebe Collings-James and Richard Phillips.
The evening continued in the seminal space, with guests dining on mascarpone ravioli with butternut purée, roasted mushrooms with black truffle and more. Perrier-Jouët, Pear Martinis, Bodega Norton Malbec 2014, William Hill Estate Chardonnay 2012 and sparkling rosemary limeade were served throughout.
