David Zwirner Presents “Artists for Biden” Initiative Ahead of Election

The fundraising initiative “Artists for Biden” has launched in support of the Biden Victory Fund. To ensure that candidates Joe Biden and Kamala Harris have appropriate resources to win the upcoming U.S. presidential election, over 100 leading contemporary artists across all disciplines are banding together to present works for an all-in sale.

Participants—like Doug Aitken, Carol Bove, Patricia Cronin, Carroll Dunham, Shepard Fairey, Jenny Holzer, Rashid Johnson, Deborah Kass, KAWS, Ellsworth Kelly, Jasper Johns, Jeff Koons, Marilyn Minter, Alice Neel, Catherine Opie, Ugo Rondinone, Ed Ruscha, Kenny Scharf, Richard Serra, Cindy Sherman, Laurie Simmons, Tavares Strachan, Sarah Sze, Carrie Mae Weems, Lawrence Weiner, Kehinde Wiley, Chloe Wise, and Lisa Yuskavage—have donated works to be sold in a sale presented by David Zwirner on Platform. The online-only sale also inaugurates this new website hosted by the gallery, which will continue to host online sales for industry partners and peers in the future.

From October 2–8, the sale will be presented in a click-to-buy format, as well as allow users to inquire about premium pieces. Those interested in purchasing works are encouraged to register for the happening in advance online.

In advance of the sale, Kamala Harris is hosting an online kick-off event next week on September 29, welcoming supporters to an intimate video conference about the initiative and the Democratic campaign.
