Emilio Steinberger
Gallery Director, Haunch of Venison on Art Basel Miami Beach

The Monday of Miami fair week – when almost all dealers and gallerists are putting the final touches on their booth installations – we asked Emilio Steinberger, the Senior International Director of Haunch of Venison, to take our Miami Quetionaire. This year, Haunch of Venison is participating in Art Miami December, 4-9 and will show a work by artists including, Ahmed Alsoudani, Enrico Castellani, Nathan Coley, Lucio Fontana, Kevin Francis Gray, Isca Greenfield-Sanders, Damien Hirst, Marlene Mocquet, Giuseppe Penone, Patricia Piccinini, Ged Quinn, Peter Saul, Chiharu Shiota, Frank Stella, Gunther Uecker, and Tom Wesselmann.

This year I plan to accomplish introducing artists we work with to a large, attentive audience
Miami is or isn’t over because every year there seems to be more people that attend the fairs. Also, Miami is such a vibrant place.
My advice for a ABMB first timer is one cannot do everything and be everywhere, so plan in advance.
Every year I make sure I have at least one meal at Casa Tua.
My hotel of choice depends on the year.
At the end of the night you’ll find me at my wife’s side with a glass of Laphroaig.
The event I won’t miss this year is Ged Quinn‘s exhibition at the Bass Museum.
You won’t see me without my clothes on or my phone.
I’ll go to the beach if I if, if, if…

SAME AS TODAY
