FIAC Debuts Online Viewing Rooms

The first edition of FIAC Online Viewing Rooms opens March 4 to the public. Accessible through March 7, with VIP preview days on March 2 and 3, the digital fair brings together presentations from 212 French and international galleries.

Under director Jennifer Flay, a range of emerging and established exhibitors are taking part, hailing from 28 countries across five continents. A user-friendly interface developed in collaboration with Artlogic showcases remarkable artworks presented by Blum & Poe, Sadie Coles HQ, Paula Cooper, Chantal Crousel, Massimo De Carlo, Gagosian, Victoria Miro, David Kordansky, Nathalie Obadia, Perrotin, Thaddaeus Ropac, Sprüth Magers, David Zwirner, White Cube, Balice Hertling, François Ghebaly, High Art, and more.

Solo shows of note include Le Corbusier at Galerie Zlotowski, Pia Fries at Mai 36 Galerie, Jacqueline de Jong at Pippy Houldsworth Gallery, Sarah Lucas at Sadie Coles HQ, and Luc Tuymans at David Zwirner.

Other galleries have opted for dual shows, like Em Rooney and Patrick Jackson at François Ghebaly, Abraham Palatnik and Xavier Veilhan at Nara Roesler, and Serigne Ibrahima Dieye and Roméo Mivekannin at Cécile Fakhoury.

Institutions like Centre Pompidou, Fondation Pernod Ricard, Musée du Louvre, M WOODS, Petit Palais, Museo Tamayo, and Bourse de Commerce – Pinault Collection are taking part in online programming like talks and films.

Don’t miss a curated selection of FIAC OVR in, “Commisaires Invités, Through the eyes of,” featuring favorites from Bernard Blistène, director of the Musée national d’art modern, Centre Pompidou; Saim Demircan, curator and writer; Emma Lavigne, president of the Palais de Tokyo; Jean de Loisy, director of the Ecole nationale supérieure des Beaux Arts de Paris; and X Zhu-Nowell, assistant curator at the Guggenheim.
