All this week in preparation for Frieze Los Angeles, we’re hearing from leading art, culture, and lifestyle experts share how they enjoy Los Angeles.
“I love visiting Marciano Art Foundation’s beloved neighbors at The Underground Museum and LAXART. The Underground Museum is much more than a space to see art; it feels like home. They always have something powerful up, and beyond their exhibitions, I could spend hours in the beautiful Purple Garden. LAXART somehow always surprises me in the best way, consistently a worthwhile visit with many feelings and thoughts involved each time. . . good, bad, excited, perplexed, inspired, etc. I admire how the Hammer Museum does pretty much everything, plus it was my first art gig as Ali Subotnick’s intern. I’m really looking forward to their Allen Ruppersberg show that will open just in time for Frieze LA.”
