Intersect Aspen is back for its second year in person. This year, the art fair will be held at the Aspen Ice Garden from July 31 to August 4 with a lineup of 31 galleries from 21 cities around the world. Works presented will also be available online with Artsy.

Several galleries will show brand new works, including new pieces specially created for Intersect Aspen. HESSE FLATOW is showing art from Matt Kleberg for the first time, including four paintings created specifically for the gallery’s Intersect Aspen booth. Another New York gallery, the Nancy Hoffman Gallery, is displaying a brand new work from Timothy Cummings, aligning with its theme, Nature’s Bounty.

James Barron Art plans to exhibit several pieces that have never been exhibited from self-trained Italian artists Vera Girivi and Elisabetta Zangrandi. Voltz Clarke Gallery will have new pieces by Holland Cunningham and Xevi Sola, who have created new works specifically for Intersect Aspen.

The fair offers a variety of programming, including a demonstration from the Aspen-based Earth Force Climate Command at the entrance through the duration of the event. The group of creatives—led by artist Ajax Axe—plans to place an Earth Pod mobile unit on site while group members hand out Colorado wildflower seed bombs, encouraging fairgoers to join their group and pledge to care for the planet.

Artist Kelly Lynn Jones will be hosting a booth talk on July 31, followed by fellow artists Kysa Johnson and Hiejin Yoo on August 1, Suchitra Mattai on August 2, Dennis and Jessie Edelman on August 3, and Alison Van Pelt on August 4. Art advisor and founder of Cromwell Art LLC Wendy Cromwell will also be hosting a VIP event, How to Shop an Art Fair like a Pro, to help guests navigate the fair and maximize their time.

Several VIP events have been organized, including the Kick Off, Kick Ass Tour led by artist Marc Dennis and critic and curator Paul Lasteron July 31, showing visitors their favorite pieces at the fair. Also on Intersect Aspen’s opening day is a VIP opening brunch, with mimosas from Gloria Ferrer Caves & Vineyards and bites to eat.
