Julien Boudet’s exhibition “Tout est Bleu” is on view at Brussels’s Stems Gallery through February 12. Featuring a selection of installations, images, and sculptures, it is the artist’s debut solo exhibition, comprised of works made during the COVID-19 pandemic.

Considering the worldwide spectrum that comes with consumerism, the artist looks to the influence of the Western and its effects on Mediterranean culture. The featured works lie at a cross-section of technology, culture, and media, offering new context to labels of iconic and luxury brands, and examining themes like the duality between real and fake and branding as a symbol of desire.
Within the gallery, the space’s industrial, concrete interiors serve as a fitting setting for Boudet’s latest body of work, including images of an antique car next to a Nike-checked horse titled Cheval masque Nike Carrera, the wall-hung sculpture made from motorcycle parts, Super T-MAX, and an image printed on synthetic recycled fiber entitled Let’s Ride.
