Last week gallerist Shulamit Nazarian hosted the annual summer auction and cocktail party for the contemporary public art non-profit LAND (Los Angeles Nomadic Division). LAND’s Midsummer Fête was held at Nazarian’s A. Quincy Jones-designed home in Los Angeles.
LAND director Shamim Momin joined the hostess with the silent benefit auction featuring works by Scoli Acosta, Kelly Akashi, Carmen Argote, Lisa Anne Auerbach, Billy Al Bengston, Andrea Bowers, Jennifer Boysen, Alika Cooper, Alex Da Corte, Michael Dopp, Jim Drain, Eve Fowler, Matthew Clifford Green, Genevieve Gaignard, JPW3, Dwyer Kilcollin, Jeremy Kost, Nick Kramer, Nevine Mahmoud, Dashiell Manley, Daniel Joseph Martinez, Anna Mayer, Alison O’Daniel, Richard Phillips, Sarah Rara, Rachelle Sawatsky, Daniel R. Small, Joe Sola, Paul Pascal Theriault, Samantha Thomas, Mark Verabioff, Aaron Young, and Jake Ziemann.
The evening was excited by Dashiell Manly’s specifically created piece for the auction, evoking a bidding war that eventually went to an online Paddle8 winner.
