Currently on view at Eden Fine Art Gallery in Mykonos is an exhibition of artist Alec Monopoly’s new series, “$PF Monopoly.” Introducing the show earlier this summer, the gallery held a lively summer party in Nammos Village, complete with swimsuit-clad models and a spray-painted helicopter.
The series includes works depicting characters like Mr. Simpson, Rich Uncle Pennybags, Scrouge McDuck, and Richie Rich surrounded by dollar signs and money-themed elements, lounging on yachts and carrying out the lives of the wealthy. Accompanying the exhibition, the artist also created a larger-than-life-sized floating sculpture of the iconic Monopoly man, which the he spray-painted live during the launch event, just off the shores of Psarou Beach.

First recognized for his artwork surrounding the financial crisis in 2008, the former street artist creates brightly colorful cartoon works frequently featuring well-known television and movie characters, which focus on money and wealth-related activities.
