New Spaghetti Car: A Saucy Design For BMW

BMW i3 Spaghetti Car

Fast food took on a whole new meaning with the BMW i3 Spaghetti Car, which debuted at the opening of the 2016 Rencontres d’Arles Festival of Photography in Arles, France the first week of July.

The creation was a joint effort by artist Maurizio Cattelan and photographer Pierpaolo Ferrari. Cattelan’s avant-garde picture publication Toilet Paper is a long-term partner, alongside BMW, for the festival.

However hungry you may be, this funky form of drive-through menu will be destroyed shortly after the festival which closes September 25. The Spaghetti Car is not an official BMW Art Car and Cattelan requested its destruction after the fair. Plus, the artist remains retired from art since his 2011 retrospective at the Guggenheim Museum.

The saucy creation is just a taste of what’s to come for the upcoming BMW Art Car creations by Cao Fei and John Baldessari.
