Paris NFT Day

Paris Blockchain Week Summit 2022 Begins with Inaugural Paris NFT Day

Today through April 14, the third annual Paris Blockchain Week Summit (PBWS) will welcome visitors to an anticipated lineup of digital and physical programming at Palais Brongniart.

“I am pleased to announce that PBWS will return as a physical event in Paris in 2022,” said Emmanuel Fenet, CEO of Paris Blockchain Week Summit. “As a common meeting place for industry leaders, we will help navigate the market, the players, and the applications—whether they are close to maturity, such as DeFi, or emerging new models, such as Decentralized Autonomous Organizations.”

Special for the global event is the debut of Paris NFT Day April 12—the largest European conference dedicated to NFTs and the Web3 ecosystem. For the inaugural event, around 2,000 special attendees will participate in an array of discussions and networking opportunities, hearing from key leaders and companies that bridge the physical and digital cultural worlds, like Kering, Chanel, Rolex, L’Oreal, Animoca, and Bank of America.

“The first-ever Paris NFT Day will prove to be an unforgettable and immersive experience for attendees with an unmatched speaker lineup complimenting the interactive projects on display,” continued Fenet. “The event will enable attendees to learn about major NFT projects and brands, experiment with the technology’s various use cases, and connect with the creators behind these developments.”

For the community-centered event, more than 50 speakers from the crypto, blockchain, sports, finance, and literature industries will offer insight, including: Sebastien Borget, Co-Founder and COO of The Sandbox; CEO of UTS and Mouratoglou Academy, Emin Gün Sirer; Founder & CEO of Ava Labs, Austin Federa; Head of Communications at Solana Labs, Johann Bornman; Product Lead at Metamask, Gouzelle Ishmatova; Giulia Archetti, Deputy Director, Business Director of Sotheby’s; and Patrick Mouratoglou, Coach of Serena Williams.

“I’m very excited to be part of Paris NFT Day this year and to meet the whole NFT family,” said Mouratoglou. “Considering the quick growth of the NFT sector, I’m sure it will be an occasion to share, exchange and discuss how they play a role in the sports industry.”

Here, panels regarding NFTs and Web3 technologies will discuss the industry’s key players, revenue streams, and partnership opportunities, enabling visitors to understand the value behind their projects and potential business opportunities.

The event will also host dedicated spaces for interactive NFT experiences through five sections: luxury and fashion, gaming, the metaverse, art, and sports. Each of these sectors will support large-scale displays and immersive environments particular to their focus, including virtual reality displays, interactive NFT galleries, 3-D projections, and more.

Paris NFT Day will also feature a benefit initiative in the form of a booth sold as an NFT. Through an art exhibit hosted by Achetez de l’Art, this exhibit will also serve as an NFT auction with proceeds going to charities chosen by the participating artists.
