Tonight, the Brooklyn Academy of Music will celebrate its Ninth Annual BAMart Silent Auction at The Hole, marking the first time a proper exhibition has been mounted in New York for the occasion.
The auction – powered by Paddle8 with support from DeWitt Stern Fine Art Insurance and Absolut Vodka – includes over 125 artists from emerging (Kate Steciew) to established (Cecily Brown), and will help fund BAM’s programming for the coming season. A portion of sales will also benefit artists affected by Hurricane Sandy.
Whitewall will be covering the opening reception and party tonight, so stay tuned, but for now, here’s a highlight of what’s on view.
