PULSE New York returns to the Metropolitan Pavilion this week from March 3—6. In its 11th year, PULSE’s 45 participating galleries represent four continents, offering a dynamic platform for connecting with a global audience. Fair Director Helen Toomer shares below what she’s looking forward to this year.
“I’m looking forward to bringing a dynamic mix of galleries and artists together for PULSE New York alongside our diverse programming platforms of PROJECTS, PERSPECTIVES and PLAY, the later of which is guest curated by Joey Lico, Director of programming for The Cultivist. I’m excited to see the continuation of Conversations, a special focus on dual-artist exhibitions, which successfully debuted at the last edition of PULSE Miami Beach. PERSPECTIVES will continue to bring thought-provoking talks into the fair context and we’re thrilled to collaborate with Whitewall and Hyperallergic on these presentations. Our ongoing goal is to provide our visitors with a solid overview of the international contemporary art market today which we hope to accomplish once again in New York.” — Helen Toomer
