HOW Art Museum and HOW Store announced a series of online charity auctions next week, “Standing Together Through Thick and Thin: A Charity Auction to Combat the Epidemic.” In partnership with Modern Media, Art021, Yitiao, and over 80 institutions and galleries in China, 30 pieces have been put together for the sales, in support of efforts in the outbreak of the coronavirus.
The first auction takes place March 2, focused on limited-edition toys and lithographs; the second and third on March 3 and 4 are focused on contemporary art. Proceeds will go to the Shanghai Soong Ching Ling Foundation to purchase epidemic prevention supplies for primary school students at schools in China affected by the outbreak.
“In light of the current outbreak, we vow to take responsibility in protecting children from the virus. Art institutions and artists hope to create a safety line for “future artists” through this initiative. And so, with love as our guiding light let us protect the prospect of a promising future!” HOW Art Museum said in a statement.
