Basel’s gallery-led June Art Fair returns for Basel Art Week, open to the public from June 14—19 with a special VIP preview on June 13. Located near Messeplatz, within walking distance of the city’s concurrent fairs, visitors will find this more intimate art fair alternative housed within a Herzog & de Meuron-designed concrete bunker.
The fourth edition of the fair will highlight presentations from 19 galleries, including the Sydney-based Sydney, bringing a group presentation of artists Hilarie Mais, Lewis Fidoc, and Joshua Petherick; Misako & Rosen of Tokyo showcasing the artist J. Parker Valentine; Yannic Joray on view with Zurich’s Sentiment; the Frankfurt-based Parisa Kind with work by Benjamin Echeverria; and Amsterdam’s Ellen de Bruijne Projects, who will bring a group presentation including Tyna Adebowale, Pauline Boudry, and Renate Lorenz. Other presenters include names like The Green Gallery, Fabian Lang, Arcade, VI, VII, Downs & Ross, and Red Tracy.
Along with these main presentations, there will be a selection of special projects from the artist residency DARP, the artist Gina Folly, Zurich’s PROVENCE, and Juneart.io.
