Athena Currey and Adrian Rosenfeld are finally offering art enthusiasts a chance to own their very own high-quality artworks at a fraction of the prices seen at leading art fairs. This week in Miami (by way of Los Angeles), the two art aficionados have launched their new e-commerce website ThePosters.co, which publishes works of art by established and emerging artists alike in limited-time only collections. Every poster costs $55 and will appear alongside three other posters on the website for a period of six weeks. Each is made with museum-quality inks on archival-grade paper are printed in Los Angeles, stamped on the back with the name of the artist, date, title of the work, and The Posters logo.
The new site also supports Currey and Rosenfeld’s goal to fund of one million hours of art classes by 2016 with 10% of revenue going towards funding art programs, like the Inner-City Arts in downtown Los Angeles, in an attempt to resuscitate the dwindling support for arts education. On sale now are works by artists such as Nate Lowman, Owen Schmit, Wyatt Kahn, and Paul Wackers. Work will be available for purchase online as well as pop-up shops at The Standard Spa, Miami Beach this week in Miami.
