TWO x TWO in Dallas Honoring Wade Guyton
Bid Now on Artsy

For the past 15 years, Dallas power-couple and collectors Cindy and Howard Rachofsky have welcomed guests into their Richard Meier-designed home for an annual evening of dinner, art, and charity. The event, called TWO x TWO for AIDS and Art, features a contemporary art auction that benefits the Dallas Museum of Art and amfAR, the Foundation for AIDS Research. TWO x TWO takes place this Saturday, October 25.

Those who have not procured tickets to the event can still participate in the auction through online platform Artsy’s “Own it Now” sale, which features 30 lots by artists including Joseph Kosuth, Not Vital, Chiyu Uemae, Isa Genzken, and Barbara Kasten. Additionally, for the first time, the other 95 works for sale are featured on the site and available for preliminary bidding through Friday, Oct 24.

Also new this year, Artsy bidders will be able to participate in the gala auction over the phone via Artsy specialists. With beginning bids ranging from $1,400-$250,000, the work is available to a wide demographic. The top lot is occupied by a lovely black-and-white print of flames on linen by this year’s featured artist Wade Guyton (featured in Whitewall’s fall issue). Other heavy hitters who have donated works include Jeff Koons, Do Ho Suh, Roni Horn, Yutaka Matsuda, Shinro Ohtake, Matt Sheridan Smith, and Christopher Williams, among others.

“Own it Now” bidding closes in October 23, and any works without bids will go to the live auction on the 25th. Interested in getting in on the pre-event fun? Works are available for viewing and purchasing here.
