Whitewaller London Launches for Frieze London 2018

After a brutally hot summer, we have been itching for the cooler, crisper weather—and with that, the back-to-school spirit of the fall fair calendar.

We kick off the season in London for Frieze, with our wonderful guest editor, artist Ian Davenport, a native of the city. Along with a slew of art and lifestyle Insiders, Davenport shares his slice of London, as well as what he’s looking forward to seeing exhibition-wise this October.

Whitewaller also catches up with the creative director of Frieze Art Fair, Jo Stella Sawicka; Elmgreen & Dragset about their Whitechapel show; gallerist Hannah Barry; EDITION hotel’s Ben Pundole; artist Tania Bruguera about her takeover of Turbine Hall; the man behind Nobu; and more.

Just a couple weeks later, for FIAC, we head to Paris, guided by our lovely guest editor Lorena Vergani. She, as well as our City of Lights Insiders, lets us in on her favorite spots—including a few secret spaces. We also check out Omar Ba’s new show at Galerie Templon, the major Basquiat retrospective at Fondation Louis Vuitton, and the “Southern Geometries” exhibition at a longtime favorite, Fondation Cartier.

In addition to all the details around the fairs and shows you’ve got to see in both London and Paris, we share our Whitewaller recommendations for where to eat, sip, stay, and shop—and exactly what to get and do when you’re there.

Get ready to enjoy the sights, the scenes, and of course the art this October with Whitewaller London & Paris there to guide you through it all.
