As Paris once again takes its place at the center of the global art world this October, Whitewaller Paris welcomes you to an unmissable season of creativity, conversation, and discovery. Timed with the second edition of Art Basel Paris at the Grand Palais, the city hums with international energy. Across its historic streets and luminous new venues, Paris becomes a living gallery—where ideas, aesthetics, and ambition meet in every arrondissement. Alongside Art Basel, fairs such as Design Miami.Paris, ASIA NOW, Paris Internationale, and AKAA (Also Known As Africa) create a constellation of creative forces that bring together galleries, collectors, and curators from every corner of the world.

This edition of Whitewaller Paris is guided by the discerning eye of our Guest Editor, Hélène Nguyen Ban—collector, entrepreneur, and founder of Docent, the digital platform connecting collectors to art through technology and storytelling. Known for her deep engagement with both emerging and established voices, Hélène offers an insider’s perspective on how Paris continues to reinvent itself as a global hub for art, design, and culture. Her vision reflects a new generation of collectors redefining connoisseurship—curious, connected, and deeply committed to dialogue.

Throughout these pages, we explore the exhibitions and encounters that define the season. From the Bourse de Commerce’s sweeping survey “Minimal”, tracing restraint and reduction from Donald Judd to contemporary voices, to Laurie Simmons’s introspective works at Almine Rech, Paris this fall is alive with new dialogues between contemporary and historic practices. The Fondation Cartier pour l’art contemporain enters a new chapter in the Palais-Royal, while the Musée d’Orsay and Centre Pompidou continue to challenge and expand our understanding of modernity. At Fondation Louis Vuitton, the dialogue between architecture and art continues to evolve, merging Gehry’s visionary structure with boundary-pushing programming.

We also spotlight the collectors shaping the city’s cultural landscape—figures such as Cathia Lawson-Hall and Philip Hall, Charles Carmignac, Patrick Seguin, and Aline Asmar d’Amman—each revealing how collecting today extends beyond acquisition to patronage, preservation, and participation. Their engagement underscores the evolving role of collecting as both a personal passion and a public gesture, vital to the vitality of the art ecosystem.
Beyond the fairs and galleries, Whitewaller Paris celebrates the city as a living, breathing experience. Our insiders—chefs, designers, curators, and gallerists—share where to see, eat, shop, and savor the best of the city during this vibrant week. From the sculptural pastries of Cédric Grolet to the discreet elegance of Le Meurice, from design destinations like Galerie Kreo and The Conran Shop to intimate dining tables tucked in the Marais, we map a Paris that inspires at every turn.

Design Miami.Paris returns to the Hôtel de Maisons with a curated mix of historical and contemporary design, bridging decorative arts and avant-garde experimentation. ASIA NOW, held at the Monnaie de Paris, continues to champion cross-cultural dialogue, while Paris Internationale and AKAA spotlight the next generation of galleries and artists who are reimagining global narratives. Together, they affirm Paris as not just a backdrop, but an active stage for the ideas that define our time.
Whitewaller Paris is your passport to the city during one of its most exciting cultural moments of the year—an essential companion whether you’re navigating the aisles of Art Basel, exploring cutting-edge design at Hôtel de Maisons, or simply walking the streets where art and life converge.
