ART021 Shanghai Contemporary Art Fair

One of Asia’s leading contemporary art fairs, ART021 Shanghai Contemporary Art Fair returns for its seventh edition at the Shanghai Exhibition Center. This year, the fair welcomes presentations of both established and emerging artists by 111 exhibitors, from 18 countries and 57 different cities, including galleries like Galerie Chantal Crousel, Asia Art Center, Dastan’s Basement, Various Small Fires, Almine Rech, Egg Gallery, Pékin Fine Arts, Tang Contemporary Art, and David Zwirner. Also part of China Shanghai International Arts Festival’s programming, the fair offers several presentation sectors, including APPROACH, which highlights young galleries, a showcase of large-scale works entitled BEYOND, and DETOUR, which is centered around the theme Silk Roads for this year’s fair, putting a focus on intricate trade routes throughout history.

West Bund Art & Design
November 7—11
The 2019 iteration of West Bund Art & Design welcomes over 100 leading galleries from Asia, Europe, and the Americas to the West Bund Art Center. Featuring presentations by exhibitors like Lisson Gallery, Hauser & Wirth, HdM GALLERY, Sadie Coles HQ, Pilar Corrias, BANK, Useless Space, David Zwirner, WENTRUP, and ShanghART Gallery, the fair is a platform for international galleries to showcase modern and contemporary art in Shanghai, accompanied by exhibitions and art events throughout the city. Fairgoers should look out for the fourth edition of the xiàn chăng section, which features solo presentations by international artists like Richard Deacon, UMA, Zheng Chongbin, and Su Chang.
