Kartell goes Bourgie by Patricia Urquiola

Artists and Designers Illuminate with Re-Interpretations of Kartell Bourgie Lamp

It’s the 10th anniversary of the iconic Kartell Bourgie Lamp by Ferruccio Laviani.  So, to celebrate 20 artists and designers are paying tribute by fashioning an original interpretation of the classic design. Pharrell Williams, Kelly Wearstler, assume vivid astro focus, Rafael de Cardenas, Snarkitecture, Piero Lissoni, Philippe Starck, Lenny Kravitz, Patricia Urquiola, Front, Nendo, and Tokujin Yoshioka all participated in creating one-of-a-kind Bourgie Lamps, to be auctioned off this winter.

Some highlights from the collection include: Nendo’s inverted black-and-white lamps (which, when placed side-by-side, align with one another), Eugeni Quitllet’s glass candelabrum, and Ludovicoa + Roberto Palomba’s wire outline lamp with rainbow luminescence.
