Brick House

In honor of The Glass House’s 75th anniversary, it reopened its Brick House for the first time in over 17 years last month during its summer party. Located in New Canaan, CT, the site of Philip Johnson and David Whitney’s home plays host to the Brick House, designed by Ed Ruscha, which underwent an extensive renovation. Originally, Ruscha was inspired by the ever-changing environment of The Glass House and its “reflections and shadows from glass windows to door.”

Cassina honors the 50th anniversary of its “iMaestri” collection by presenting a new book, Echoes, Cassina. 50 Years of iMaestri. The title celebrates the collection’s contribution in design, as well as the brand’s continued research and development efforts in the pursuit of authenticity and culture. The book is broken into five chapters that highlight the company’s ethos, creating discourse between past, present, and future approaches.

Louis Vuitton’s first tableware collection showcases a classic-luxury look in a complete range of porcelain dishes, glasses, and carafes. The pieces celebrate the maison’s Monogram flower with a contemporary touch with functional, decorative touches. With a color palette ranging in Sapphire Blue, Amber, Emerald, and Venetian Ruby, the pieces are also seen in Louis Vuitton’s cafes in Paris, St. Tropez, and Bangkok, capturing the essence of the brand within each cafe.
