The Casa Bonay Hotel in Barcelona combines Old World decadence with modern simplicity. This summer, the historic design by master builder Francisco Batlle in 1869 was updated with precision and care by Brooklyn-based designers Studio Tack.
The building was originally made for a wealthy Catalan family before Inés Miro-Sans added some modern magic. Miro-Sans collaborated with Studio Tack to preserve original elements like the hydraulic tiled floors, the ceilings, and sliding doors.

A new addition to the hotel was El Chiringuito de Bonay, the beautiful roof terrace overlooking the Dreta de l’Eixample neighborhood. With the sun-washed walls, wicker chairs, and inviting tabletops, the terrace invites guests to a modern wonderland atop 19th century grace.
