The fifth annual “Lexus & Whitewall Art and Design Innovation Series” took place virtually and on screens at Design Miami/ last week. The program of panels continued with, “Creativity in Transition.” Co-founders of Art Mamas Alliance Helen Toomer and Katy Donoghue, moderated a conversation with Designing Motherhood co-author Michelle Millar Fisher, kinder MODERN‘s Lora Appleton, and curator and author of Culture as Catalyst Isolde Brielmaier.
They discuss the role of creativity in relation to motherhood and family. How have art and design historically addressed the maternal and childhood realm? We’ll hear from makers and curators on how their creative practices have been impacted by the transition to parenthood.
