This week marks the 30th edition of ICFF, open May 20–May 23. ICFF is the North American platform for international design featuring luxury interiors, contemporary design, and high-end furniture. It also is the first time that ICFF will host a silent auction with proceeds benefitting the Alzheimer’s Association and the Anna Hernandez/Luna Textiles Education Fund Award. The new initiative involves 900 exhibitors, who’ve donated flooring, carpets, kitchen items, bath products, and art objects to be auctioned off over the four days of the fair. The first $5,000 raised will be used to match the Anna Hernandez/Luna Textiles Education Fund Award, given to an up-and-coming female designer. The recipient of this inaugural award will receive $10,000 from the IIDA Foundation and ICFF.
Other notable programming and events this year include Design Milk’s Cash + Carry Popup shop featuring items from emerging designers, Collective Concept presenting a capsule presentation, the “NO TASTE FOR BAD TASTE” exhibition featuring Le French Design, the “Handmade in Germany” show, and more.
