Keeping Cool At The McCarren Hotel & Pool

On May 27, Edward Scheetz and Chelsea Hotels presented the newly renovated McCarren Hotel & Pool in Williamsburg, Brooklyn. Taking its place among sister hotels the Hotel Chelsea, Martha Washington, Ruschmeyer’s, and the Astor Hotel, the McCarren Hotel & Pool has been revived with wit and modern style.

Formerly King & Grove Williamsburg, the McCarren Hotel & Pool features a new lobby designed by Fernando Santangelo. Santangelo, who has partnered with a number of historic buildings, modernized the space with an eclectic flair, generating vivacity and an exciting aesthetic.

McCarren Hotel and Pool

At The Elm, the hotel restaurant, Michelin-starred chef Paul Liebrandt joined executive chef Arnie Marcella to create a new summer menu. With a creative touch and seasonal inspiration, the two chefs developed a contemporary approach to French cuisine.

As the name implies, the hotel’s pool and amenities have also been updated. The hotel boasts a saltwater pool, yoga with SYNCStudio, and other partnerships with SummerScreen and Universal Music. Between its rooftop lounge, contemporary scheme, and extensive programming, the McCarren Hotel & Pool might just be the coolest way to beat the heat.
