Kobi Karp Designs Palazzo del Sol on Fisher Island

Palazzo del Sol is a new development coming to Fisher Island in Miami next spring. A plan by architect Kobi Karp takes its inspiration from William K. Vanderbilt II’s historic home there. The site, only accessible by boat, has become known as its own little world (as it was designed to be) and Palazzo del Sol plans to give that world something new.

The project aims to reinvent the iconic Mediterranean style properties on the island  by incorporating floor-to-ceiling glass, panoramic views of South Beach from its penthouses, open terraces, and multi-level floating gardens and pools, all while under the distinctive terra-cotta trademark roofs. Residences designed by Antrobus + Ramirez, Augusto Busnelli, and Pepe Calderin and a landscape design by Enzo Enea mix sophisticated design aesthetics to further elaborate the reinvention of this classic style.

And the amenities of Palazzo del Sol do not disappoint. Residents can expect access to eight exclusive dining options, golf and tennis clubs, a premier spa, and private beaches.
