We’ve come to look forward to new additions of Louis Vuitton’s Objets Nomades collection each year in Miami. The ever-expanding series of wanderlust-filled furniture is inspired by the house’s roots in the art of travel. Past design collaborators have included nendo, Maarten Baas, Marcel Wanders, Patricia Urquiola, Tokujin Yoshioka, and others.
Debuting this year at Design Miami/ is the Bomboca Sofa by the Campana Brothers (whose previous contributions to the collection includes the Fur Cocoon suspended lounge chair). The turquoise, blue, and grey colored couch gets its name from the sweets given at weddings and children’s parties in Brazil. Eight round cushions make up the modular piece, with a Louis Vuitton leather-covered base.
Also new this year for Design Miami/: Atelier Oï’s Swing Boat and Spiral Lamp, Urquiola’s Palaver Chair, India Mahdavi’s Talisman Table, and Wanders’ Lune Chair and Diamond Screen.
Design Miami/ is on view December 6—10.
