Returning to the Park Avenue Armory from November 6–10, 2025, the 14th edition of Salon Art + Design reaffirms its place as one of New York’s most anticipated cultural events. Under the leadership of Executive Director Nicky Dessources, now in her second year at the helm, the fair enters a new era—one defined by creative expansion, cross-disciplinary dialogue, and national ambition.
Following the success of 2024’s edition and the acclaimed spring collaboration with Bergdorf Goodman, Dessources brings to this year’s fair a broadened curatorial vision. “Each year, when Salon comes to life inside the Armory, I’m reminded why this fair matters so deeply,” she writes in her letter from the director. “Beyond the beautiful objects, what truly defines Salon is the sense of connection between art and design, the past and present.”
Highlights and Innovation at Salon Art + Design
Galerie Gabriel | JEAN ROYÈRE, Pair of Armchairs, c.1955.
That spirit of connection animates the 2025 edition, where over 50 leading international galleries present a sweeping panorama of collectible design and fine art—from ancient objects and mid-century icons to bold contemporary statements. The fair continues to bridge the worlds of craft and concept, championing both established masters and emerging talents whose work reflects evolving notions of beauty, materiality, and form.
This year’s fair introduces immersive special installations throughout the historic rooms of the Armory, offering site-specific experiences that engage with its Gilded Age architecture. Participating designers—including The Alpha Workshops, Color Atelier, and Donghia by Nina Magon Studio featuring Sarah Zapata—transform these storied interiors into living showcases of innovation and collaboration.
Dialogue and Discovery in New York
Phoenix Ancient Art | Cypriot Green Picrolite Idol from the late 4th Millennium B.C. It is quite rare and important and once resided at the Metropolitan Museum of Art for almost 30 years from 1993-2022.
Bossa | Joaquim Tenreiro, Sofa, 1960s.
A refreshed vetting process led by respected curators and scholars reinforces Salon’s hallmark commitment to excellence and authenticity. At the same time, Dessources and her team are expanding Salon’s reach beyond New York, laying the groundwork for the fair’s first national expansion in Dallas in Spring 2026—a milestone that signals the fair’s growing influence and ambition.
Beyond the exhibition floor, Salon Conversations return with a dynamic lineup of panels and discussions that illuminate the evolving landscape of art and design. Programs like “Decisions, Decisions: Museums Collecting Design,” “Mentorship and Legacy: Building the Next Generation of Gallerists,” and “The State of the Market” bring together leading voices—from curators James Zemaitis and Rachel Delphia to dealers Dana Kraus and Jodi Pollack—to explore questions of collecting, mentorship, and sustainability within the industry.
Mia Karlova Galerie | Anna Volkova. Porcelain Flowers.
DYNE.
A cornerstone of Salon’s identity, the Design & Art Advisory Council returns with an impressive roster of tastemakers including Kelly Behun, Robert Couturier, Julie Hillman, Nicole Hollis, and Andre Mellone—a network of leading designers and collectors who help shape the fair’s vision and tone. The Opening Night Preview, benefiting the Dia Art Foundation and co-hosted by Nathalie de Gunzburg, continues to serve as both a philanthropic celebration and the unofficial start of New York’s fall art season.
Looking Ahead to Dallas and More
Converso | Phillip Lloyd Powell, Living Room Suite, circa 1979. Comprising sofa, loveseat, and table in walnut, oak, wenge, rosewood, and fabric upholstery.
As Salon Art + Design celebrates its fourteenth edition, its mission feels as relevant as ever: to bring together the worlds of art and design in a space where history, craft, and innovation coexist. “In the essence of every object and art, there’s a story of imagination, resilience, and the human impulse to create something lasting and beautiful,” writes Dessources.
With its refreshed vision, international scope, and growing community, Salon Art + Design 2025 stands as a testament to the enduring dialogue between makers and collectors—and to the belief that creativity, connection, and craftsmanship continue to light the way forward.
