SQUAT Launches in London’s Nilufar Gallery

No contributor

The Nilufar Gallery will launch the fifth edition of SQUAT, an interdisciplinary concept that merges design, architecture, and art, this June in London.

Started in 2012 by Nilufar Gallery owner Nina Yashar, SQUAT takes place in different locations and platforms. The ongoing project explores distinct geographical environments and the diverse cultures that accompany them.

Following the success of previous exhibitions in Paris, Beirut, and Milan, the project’s first-ever London iteration is a concerted effort between Yashar, Shalini Misra, and Mehves Ariburnu. The trio has teamed up to transform one of Misra’s ongoing developments, a Victorian lateral corner apartment, into a decorative space.

SQUAT will feature unique works from Nilufar’s collection, including designs by Gio Ponti and Bethan Laura Wood.
