Morentz (Waalwijk) honors design legends with authoritative attention to restoration, and brings the wonders of George Nakashima, Jose Zanine Caldas, and Paavo Tynell to Design Miami.Paris.
Sparking scintillating conversation between international luminaries, the Cultural Exchange category hosts top galleries like Galerie Eric Philippe (Paris), who brilliantly intermingles Historical Swedish Design with American Modernism. Nilufar Gallery (Milan) proves that vintage and contemporary designs joined together can be a match made in heaven with standouts like Gino Levi Montalcini and Giuseppe Pagano’s darkly, sensual armchairs.

A Comprehensive Design at Large Program Offers Must-See Conceptual Novelties
Within the striking second edition of Design Miami.Paris, a comprehensive Design at Large program introduces visitors to conceptual novelties both inside the mansion and throughout the vibrant outdoor courtyard, and 17 outstanding creations from past and present beckon a closer look. Carpenters Workshop Gallery (London/Paris/New York/Los Angeles) and Friedman Benda (New York/LA/Paris) raise the curtain on two pieces by distinguished American designer Wendell Castle; Never Grow Old (2014) and Fallen and Risen (2016) beautifully utilize bronze, exploring the far reaches of control and release.
A bevy of spirited partner activations unfolds during the run of the fair. SCAD reveals the latest creations of their talented alumni, including exquisite works and installations by Trish Andersen, Lærke Lillelund, Bradley Bowers, and Eny Lee Parker. In addition, Fornasetti dedicates space to its phenomenal heritage with two limited edition turmeaus: Riflesso di Architettura and Architettura Archetipo. Two astounding vases of the archives also make an appearance, celebrating the soaring standards of the Milanese atelier then and now.
