“Zaha Hadid in Italy” opened on June 23 at The MAXXI in Rome. On view through January of 2018, the exhibition is devoted to the Pritzker Prize-winning designer just one year after her untimely passing. Her genius is celebrated in the presentation of her most iconic and meaningful designs, through sketches, three-dimensional models, and virtual representations of recent studies.
The exhibition is supported by B&B Italia and curated by Margherita Guccione and Woody Yao. B&B Italia collaborated with Hadid in 2007 to create Moon System, a sculptural sofa. That statement piece is one of the key pieces of furniture on view in “Zaha Hadid in Italy.”
