Proenza Schouler‘s haute couture spring/summer 2018 runway show kicked off with full black and white looks, followed by black-and-white prints, bold red looks, and looks of all three: black, white, and red.
Peplum tops hugged at the waist and skirts resembled trousers with high slits in the front and back where the material would otherwise be sewn. Large transparent bangles in clear, purple, and gold, and pointed-toe flats—some sleek, some with rugged bows, and some with tassels—dressed up some of the looks. Coats, tops, and dresses were made with delicate floral prints, while on some trousers were in lace, while others were laser-cut.
A dress with one slouchy lace sleeve is seen before a blush pink monochromatic look with a matching fur bag. Delicate clasps held together a lace top and a skirt, which looked like a dress at first glance. Fur and ostrich feathers added texture to the hems of dresses, and cut-outs were made from large florals.
