Lisa Perry debuted an other-worldly collection of womenswear pieces for NYFW fall/winter 2014-15. The designer managed to take abstract shapes and patterns and make them quite wearable for many different bodies and styles. We saw a number of bubble dresses and miniskirts in an array of hues evoking a kaleidoscope appeal of blacks, greens, cobalt blues, and rich reds.
Tops were metallic silver and delivered in boxy shapes with many different textures including multiple front pockets. Abstract-patterned dresses in black and red or steel blue were flirty and flouncy while appearing super comfortable, perfect for a late lunch at the Four Seasons or an early evening gallery opening. Menswear inspired separates follow suit, with wide-leg and breezy pants paired with oversize matching blazers. A strong collection for Lisa Perry, delivering a number of fluid lines, suitable for a diverse crowd of fashion-loving women.
