Akris pre-fall 2014: More Bonnie than Clyde

No contributor

Berets, pencil skirts, pleated trousers, and calf-length dresses…Akrispre-fall 2014 collection compiled a vision straight from the wardrobe of the 1967 flick Bonnie and Clyde. With a palette of deep reds, dark grays, ivory, and black, each look provided the style inspired by the outlaw duo, down to the very length of the skirts.

Beyond the classic looks, ensembles clad were with oversized reversible leather jackets, tweed textures, and mink fur pieces. The metallic and lace accents gave the looks the exemplary modern edge needed for the season. Akris, once more, displaying a subtle space between contemporary and traditional. Suede jackets over V-neck sweaters and pantsuits completed the collection, pulling inspiration from casual menswear looks.
