Prabal Gurung’s crisp, clean resort 2016 collection is full of streamlined silhouettes and inspired sculptural aspects. The color palette is dark but classic, in magnolia and shell whites, berry reds, midnight sea blues, and onyx. Many pieces in the collection are masterfully paired with color panels, materials, print, and cutouts, like a berry and magnolia graphic wave printed tee is accompanied by a shell crêpe skirt with a chiffon graphic hem.
Gurung’s footwear collection brings everything together, with an addition of bright blues, pinks, and reds. Accented with panache of cutouts, straps, and pointed toes, there are pumps, sandals, wedges, boots and flats. Our bet is that the Marguerite sandal will be a standout favorite for the season.
