Last week, Alexandre Vauthier unveiled his fearless fall/winter 2016 collection in Paris. Bold, fresh, and sexy, this ready-to-wear line enjoyed a presentation in the designer’s studio in an intimate living room setting with German model Toni Garrn sporting every piece.
Thigh-high lace-up boots spiked the collection with black and tan suede, with a mix of leather, satin, and stretchy jersey fabrics twisting into a flattering medley of airy drapes and figure-hugging wraps. Floor-length gowns flashed skin with cut-outs at the waist and daring slits up the sides and front. We loved the cadmium red, patent leather jumpsuit with oversized pockets; a pleated gold plissé dress, lined in black and complimented by a gold-studded shawl; and a dark red iridescent cocktail dress with a loose keyhole neckline and a silk sash at the waist.
