Burberry Debuts Summer 2025 Collection with set by Artist Gary Hume

The latest warm weather collection designed by Creative Director Daniel Lee celebrated tradition and evolution, fully embracing the storied brand’s rich history while looking blithely forward to the expansive unknown.

London Fashion Week was set aglow by Burberry’s Summer 2025 runway presentation. Within the city’s expansive National Theatre, a bespoke set by the artist Gary Hume enveloped guests in fluid sophistication with an oh-so-British creative flourish. Recognizing the importance of time and place, Burberry remains steadfast in its championing of the arts. Setting the scene at the iconic and beloved National Theatre, the maison invigorated the brutalist building with expressive buoyancy and contemporary savoir-faire. Hume’s modernist creation for the Summer 2025 set brimmed with geometric spirit and verdant color, making way for a procession of transformative garments.

The Burberry trench, an ever-progressing work of art, was deconstructed in the form of jaunty dresses, jackets, and tops. In both linen and washed silk poplin, these items will be thoroughly enjoyed whether beneath rain or shine. The forward-thinking pieces were enhanced by expert draping, seductively cropped, and dazzled guests with cutouts or silk organza faux fur feathers.

A bevy of parkas, caps, and motorcycle jackets were tailor-made for the beaming season in coated and sun-bleached cotton, and washed leather appeared softened by the hands of time. The delightful addition of daisy prints to both trench coats and trousers was a serene, uber-feminine surprise.

A harmonious and carefree palette washed over the entire collection, with unforgettable moments of lilac, wisteria, hemlock beige, and gale gray transporting us to Mother Nature’s fragrant fields. Interludes of carrot, bellflower, terracotta, and skylark immersed guests in the organic and the graceful.

Models donning wondrous fringed dresses, hand-stitched with metallic paillettes, captured the feeling of falling stars. Powerful and enigmatic scarf tops were embellished with striped silk, unveiling a captivating new look for day or night, work or play. Ruffled tops in sequined mesh also caught our eye, paired with relaxed, zippered pants for the ultimate Burberry street style.

A jovial assortment of knitted and check collar polo shirts—in both color-block and neutral iterations—was energized by the profound artistry of Hume. Painterly gestures and bucolic elements infused the collection with warmth and mystery.

Studded, woven, and stitched shoes grounded the sprightly looks with masterful craftsmanship. Cabana, Twine, and Wave mules as well as sandals were set off by majestic, nautical knots. Men’s shoe offerings were equally delicate yet robust, with sneakers and Blade boots in leather and tumbled canvas. The must-have Pavilion sandals shined with the legendary Burberry Check and pleasing blocks of color and vibrancy.

Burberry handbags echo the melodic rhythms of nature, with the new Country crossbody or bucket bag in grainy leather serving as an ideal accompaniment while reveling in cinematic trails and rolling hills.

Another new edition to the brand, the B Clip messenger bag beguiles with B-shaped hardware and an equestrian-inspired top handle. You might also choose to slip into a shoulder bag with chainmail Burberry check detail, or the Thistle sling bag in woven wool, invoking the lilting curve of bagpipes.
