Chanel Feels Confident, Cool, and Cutthroat Chic

By Allison Merchant

July 19, 2016

No one does classic like Chanel. And its fall/winter 2016-17 pre-collection captures the simplicity in sophistication the brand is known for.

Karl Lagerfeld steps behind the camera for the photo campaign with model Mariacarla Boscono. Her sultry demeanor and silhouette offers an elegant take on the clothes. Classic styles of tweed are seen in a parka-style hooded coat or a skirt with an oversized jacket. Fabrics like cashmere, jersey, and satin resonate the quality of the fashion maison. A dark palette accentuates the feminine figure with blacks, greys and navy to be contrasted with cream.

Bosono danced through a short video, exemplifying the movement and confidence Chanel designs bring. Contemporary sass grabs hold of the little black dress, high boots, and leather legs that go on for miles. The Chanel woman is fierce and stylish and is a force to be reckoned with.
