Inspired by the “body in movement,” Bottega Veneta’s 2015 spring/summer men’s collection is high fashion relaxation with fitted sweatpants, slouchy-fit relaxed tanks, and crinkled-linen fabric suits.
Bottega Veneta Creative Director, Tomas Maier, worked to center the collection around the sensual side of men – making the ideas of ease, grace and freedom in clothing key. Bottoms take these ideas in full range from long-john sweatpants to a large and loose throwback to the pleated pant.
All aspects of the collection form along the theme of comfort. The colors are faded, as if sun-worn from being comfortable at the beach all day. Light peach, mist, and sand are juxtaposed with pale forest green and deep navy blue. Mixed with the large, slouchy fits of the pieces, Bottega Veneta’s use of light fabrics such as satin, light cotton, and lambskin add to the worn-in feel of the collection.
Bottega Veneta’s collection proves that high fashion can look and be effortless.
