The idea of departure began the journey of Louis Vuitton’s Cruise 2020 collection. After transforming the new TWA Flight Center at John F. Kennedy International Airport into a greenery-filled terminal evocative of of its former 1990s glory, the designs shown on the runway embodied the foreigner’s fantasy of New York City.
From the start, designs encapsulated the joy of discovery, and a worldwide fascination for the exchange of culture. Travel-inspired brocades, architecture transposed into prints, and acid colors that bring to memory the lights that rise from the city at night were all seen passing by.
Through a sophistication combination of retro and modern styles, colors, and shapes, highlights included a bright blue leather skirt paired with a wide-shouldered printed blouse and the leather aviator-style caps and sunglasses seen completing several looks.
